The three males, aged 19, 20, 21 have been arrested in relation to the possession of firearms and are at present being held at Garda stations within the county.

Gardaí stated that, because of intelligence led investigations concentrating on firearm trafficking, officers connected to the Garda Nationwide Medicine & Organised Crime Bureau supported by the Emergency Response Unit intercepted a automobile shortly after 10am this morning, within the Kildare space.

“Three males aged 19, 20, 21 years have been arrested in relation to possession of firearms and are at present detained, pursuant to the provisions of Part 30 of the Offences In opposition to the State Act 1939/98, at Garda Stations in Co. Kildare.
