A member of Australian rock band Ocean Alley has taken to social media to publicly apologise for stealing from a Queenstown store whereas touring New Zealand.
Lachlan Galbraith, the band’s vocalist and keyboardist, was noticed stealing a Yeti drink bottle lid from the Looking and Fishing retailer over the weekend.
After being caught on video, and referred to as out by the shop and followers, Galbraith took to Instagram to apologise.
“Yesterday in an act of full foolishness, I stole a drink bottle lid from Queenstown Looking & Fishing,” he mentioned.
“It’s a second I’m not pleased with,” he mentioned.
“I’ve apologised on to the crew on the retailer, and we’ve rectified the scenario.
“I’m sorry for disappointing our followers, the shop and naturally the band. My actions don’t mirror on how we stock ourselves as a band.”
CCTV footage of Galbraith within the act was shared by the shop on social media with the caption, “We realise hydration is necessary so no worries, however please be happy to return the @yeti_nzl Chug Cap again earlier than you permit city tomorrow. All the most effective for 2024 and the tour forward.”
