Offshore engineering specialist Petrofac has secured a brand new contract from BP to offer operations companies for the Larger Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) liquefied pure gasoline challenge in Mauritania and Senegal.
The multi-million-dollar deal is for 3 years and covers a large scope of companies, together with onshore and offshore administration and supervision, provision of personnel, and tools upkeep.
The award follows two contracts secured in 2021 and 2022 for operational procedures and operation companies for the floating manufacturing storage and offloading vessel and liquefied pure gasoline hub, respectively.
The GTA challenge is about 90% full, in accordance with BP. The sphere, positioned offshore on the border between Mauritania and Senegal, will produce gasoline from an ultra-deepwater subsea system and mid-water floating manufacturing, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, which is able to course of the gasoline after which switch it to Golar LNG-owned Gimi FLNG unit (pictured).
