Maui Milk blames supply/demand imbalance

Sheep milk processor Maui Milk says it’s considered one of many firms being impacted by the imbalance between provide and demand for New Zealand sheep dairy merchandise.

“On Monday the twenty sixth of February we determined to shorten our 2023/24 milking season early and are presently working with our suppliers on choices for the 2024/25 season,” the corporate advised Rural Information.

“We delight ourselves on being the pioneers of New Zealand’s business sheep milking business.

“Sadly, covid and now the present international financial system has been very tough on your entire dairy business.”

Maui Milk suppliers have been advised to finish their 2023-24 season and cease milking. Many are struggling to seek out various processors and are being pressured to dry off early.
