A person has been arrested following the seizure of €612,000 price of hashish at Dublin Airport on Wednesday.
Because of threat profiling, Income officers seized 30.6 kgs of natural hashish.
The hashish was hid inside vacuum-packed packages within the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked from a flight from Thailand.
A person in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and detained in a single day underneath Part 2 of the Legal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
He has since been charged and appeared earlier than the courts on Thursday morning, gardaí mentioned.
