IIT Bombay’s Class of 1998 donates Rs 57 cr, highest ever by any batch

The 1998 batch of the Indian Institute of Expertise Bombay (IIT-B) has gifted Rs 57 crore to their alma mater, shattering all earlier information for single-class donations. This contribution marks the best sum ever donated by a single batch in IIT-B’s historical past, surpassing the earlier document of Rs 41 crore set by the Class of 1971 throughout their golden jubilee celebrations.

The funds raised by the 1998’s batch will contribute to important educational and analysis initiatives on the Institute. These initiatives embody Challenge Evergreen, centered on establishing environmentally sustainable hostels; Makerspace labs to advertise scientific and technological innovation, together with an AI micro manufacturing facility; and Scholar Help initiatives, together with scholarships, to assist the aspirations of future college students.
