Huge fire engulfs Sydney e-bike factory

An e-bike manufacturing unit has been destroyed after an enormous hearth broke out in an Internal-Western Sydney warehouse on Friday morning, simply metres away from houses.

Greater than 60 firefighters and 15 hearth vehicles rushed to a two-storey warehouse on Elizabeth Avenue in Croydon simply earlier than 5am to comprise the blaze.

Hearth and Rescue NSW Superintendent Joshua Turner stated the warehouse was used to restore electrical bikes, which comprise extremely unstable lithium batteries.

“Crews discovered it was an e-bike restore centre so the chance of lithium batteries and storage models of electrical energy was their main concern,” he informed the ABC.

No accidents have been reported and NSW Police stated nobody was believed to be contained in the warehouse when the blaze broke out.

Hearth and Rescue NSW stated firefighters stay on the scene “the place they proceed to douse hotspots”.

FRNSW’s Hearth Investigation and Analysis Unit will study the reason for the fireplace as soon as the constructing is made secure.
