Sixteen-year-old Luke Littler has made historical past by changing into the youngest participant to succeed in the World Darts Championship semifinals.

Key factors:

Luke Littler recorded a 5-1 win over Brendan Dolan to progress to the semifinalsHe’s making his World Championship debutLittler will face Rob Cross within the final 4

Littler achieved the feat with a 5-1 win over Brendan Dolan at London’s Alexandra Palace.

He made a nervous begin, shedding the primary two legs of the opening set.

However the English teenager quickly discovered his stride to win that first set, and had little bother in seeing off 50-year-old Dolan from Northern Eire.

“Wow, I am within the semifinal on my debut,” Littler instructed British TV’s Sky Sports activities.

“If I stick with it, I’ve obtained a superb probability. Now I’m dreaming. I am two video games away. I am positively serious about lifting the title.”

Littler will subsequent face 2018 winner Rob Cross, who made a outstanding comeback from 4-0 all the way down to beat Chris Dobey 5-4 of their quarterfinal.

Unseeded debutant Littler is stuffed with self-belief and loving the eye.

He spent Sunday sharing a field on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with England worldwide James Maddison to look at Spurs’ Premier League match with Bournemouth.
