A viral footage confirmed a gaggle of sadhus (ascetics) purportedly stripped and assaulted by a mob within the Purulia district on Friday.
“Completely surprising incident reported from Purulia in West Bengal. In a Palghar variety lynching, sadhus travelling to Gangasagar for Makar Sankranti have been stripped and crushed by criminals affiliated with the ruling TMC,” Malviya posted from his official X deal with on Friday.
“In Mamata Banerjee’s regime, a terrorist like Shahjahan Sheikh will get state safety and sadhus are being lynched. It’s a crime to be a Hindu in West Bengal,” the BJP chief added in his publish.
No response from TMC:
The TMC didn’t reply to Malviya’s publish or the alleged incident until the time of submitting this report. A TMC strongman and an area panchayat chief, Sheikh Shahjahan has been reported absconding because the assault on groups of the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) within the North 24 Parganas district of Bengal earlier.
The sleuths, out to raid Shahjahan Sheikh and one other native TMC chief, Shankar Adhya, got here underneath assault from unidentified individuals, with the officers heckled and assaulted and their automobiles vandalised.
