Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been dealt an enormous blow after Hungary blocked EU plans to offer Ukraine £43 billion in struggle help.
Talking after talks in Brussels, Orban stated: “Abstract of the nightshift: veto for the additional cash to Ukraine.”
Earlier, Zelenskyy had described European Council president Charles Michel’s announcement that EU accession negotiations had been starting with Ukraine and Moldova as “a victory that motivates, conjures up and strengthens”.
Though Orban doesn’t help Ukraine becoming a member of the EU, he agreed not to participate in a vote by the opposite 26 member states approving the transfer.
