Over 100 folks got here collectively for a candlelight vigil after 9-year-old Elyas Amyr Marshall-Rodriguez was killed after crawling below an Orange County faculty bus earlier this week.
Witnesses advised affiliate ABC Information’ Orlando affiliate WFTV that the 9-year-old boy bought off the bus Tuesday afternoon and, as he was strolling away from the bus, he dropped his soccer when he crawled below the bus to get it and the automobile started transferring.
Marshall-Rodriguez was in remission for leukemia when he was killed on Tuesday after being recognized at two-years-old, based on his household who spoke at his vigil.
“He was the lifetime of the occasion,” mentioned Trenae Gayle, Elyas’ cousin. “He cherished soccer, he cherished basketball, he cherished all sports activities.”
Principal Erin Willis of Lawton Chiles Elementary, the varsity that Marshall-Rodriguez attended, issued a press release on social media following his loss of life.
